My name is Noelle Broussard and my ultimate dream is to get the chance to continue playing field hockey beyond just high school. I have been playing field hockey since fifth grade and am continuing to play on my high school team and club team. I attend Kent Place School, which is considered one of the best private schools in my area, so my drive and perseverance to do well and exceed expectations is evident. I am hard working and possess an excellent ability to work well with others, making my attraction to a team environment very strong. I have competed with my travel team at the Disney Tournament and will also be attending this year’s Disney tournament, including Festival. My high school team is succeeding as well, ranking second in the County. I have also had the experience of being captain and still always strive to improve myself and my teammates. Over the years, my increasing ability to play field hockey has enabled my dream of playing at the college level to blossom. Based on my personality and personal interests I can definitely see myself attending a bigger school with a high level of academic achievement. Although playing college sports is extremely important, so is the education I receive, which will allow me to find a successful career in the future. Yet overall my choice in types of colleges is generally open and inclusive. The major that I am most interested in pursuing is communications and broadcasting. My hopes and wishes for my purpose in playing college are to make an impact on the team that strengthens the team as a whole. Through achieving this, I can make a difference in the team’s overall performance and dynamic, which I believe is an essential tool in obtaining a successful team.
