My name is Hayley Harrington-Sutton, and I am a Class of 2027 student-athlete with a passion for field hockey and a mindset to succeed both on and off the field. While my journey recently faced an unexpected challenge due to an ACL injury in late September, I have been determined to come back stronger and better than ever, training hard in physical therapy and keeping a stick in my hand, working on dribbling, and sharpening my small skills whenever possible.
I’m thrilled to be back playing contact games. I’ve recently competed in interclub scrimmages and a 6v6 tournament over Memorial Day weekend, and I’m excited to be cleared for full competition again.
This summer, I’ll be attending ID clinics and most excited to be be traveling to Amsterdam in July for the Sport Eurotour, where I look forward to gaining experience with international and US college coaches and building new highlight reels to share on my post ACL game play. My journey has strengthened my resilience and commitment, and I’m more motivated than ever to grow as a player and teammate.
Outside of field hockey, I have been focused on my academics and l am proud to be a dedicated member of my high school’s swim team, where I served as team manager to stay actively involved whilst being out of action. I hold a leadership role in my school’s Make-A-Wish club as the social media manager, ensuring our local community understands the importance of bringing joy to sick children and a student athlete mentor. I love being able to give back and make a difference in others.
