My name is Ariana Grube-Rubino. I am an incoming sophomore at Our Lady of Lourdes High School. I play field hockey and lacrosse but my primary sport is field hockey. My starting position is goalkeeper and my secondary position is defense. In the past few years, I have grown to love the sport and aspire to play at the college level one day. As a hard worker and a fast learner, I am able to achieve success and give each game and practice my best effort. On and off the field, I strive to encourage my teammates to achieve their best and in return they inspire me to reach my full potential. I enjoy the competitive atmosphere that comes with playing field hockey because it teaches me how to think fast on my feet, give and receive orders, and teaches me how to be a good team player. In my opinion, the most important part of being on a team is communication. Without Communication, a team can never become a well-oiled machine. I have watched my team and myself grow as players and am excited to play at the college level one day.
