Charly Burns '23 Recruiting Profile

I've always been an athlete ever since I was little. From starting out in soccer and swimming to playing catcher on a national ranked softball team during middle school, I like being competitive.  My freshman year in high school our field hockey team didn't have a goalie, so I stepped up and have loved it ever since, starting all four years and earning All-Region honors my sophomore and junior year. My senior year I was selected as one of our captains and earned 1st Team All District. Over my four-year career I've started everyone of our 63 games and had a total of 656 saves. I don't just play to win, but I play for my teammates.  I enjoy building friendships and making connections.  I'm dedicated to making the team better and put in a lot of time and effort in the off-season whether that is field hockey or lacrosse.  When our girls varsity lacrosse coach approached me, never having played the sport, and asked me to play goalie, I rose to the challenge again.  In 2022/23 I will be starting the goalie for both field hockey and lacrosse.
