I have been playing field hockey since fifth grade. I tried out for my high school team in eighth grade and made it. It took all I had and a lot of determination and hard work. I truly love the sport and all it has taught me. Not only has it taught me about field hockey and the game, it has taught me the importance and meaning of compassion, determination, grit, and hard work. It has brought the meaning of teamwork to life for me with both my high school team and my travel club team. I have the closest bond with my team and we all trust each other on and off the field. I hope to further these life lessons at the collegiate level and create another strong bond with a new team. I am goal oriented on and off the field and have been told year after year I am extremely coach-able. I have the determination to push myself to the very last seconds of the game. Off the field, I have determination to get good grades and excel in my classes.
