Personal Statement
I am 6'2" and 160 pounds. I am usually the biggest kid on my team. I run a 4.62 40 yard at just thirteen years old, My team was the first team from my conference to ever have made it to the provincial finals. In the semi-finals I got the second touchdown of the game on a 60 yard run. I was one of the youngest players on the starting line up for that team. Every year I have played football, I have been chosen as team captain. The coaches choose me because I learn from everything they tell me, I help the kids who need to be helped and I play hard. As an athlete, I am not capable of going only 50%, I am too competetive to allow that and I go 110% every play. I would love to go to the University of Oregon because they are close to my hometown or Boise State, again for the location but also because there is another football player who is from my hometown, who just got scouted there this year. My family has 3 children and it will be hard for me to pursue post secondary education because of the cost. We would need to apply for financial assistance. My desired major is mechanical engineering. I have always been interested in the way things work, even to the point of taking it apart. I am good at and enjoy math and I am good with all things mechanical. My realistic goal is to start as a freshman for a Division 1 college but I am also open to playing at a college to just play football so that I could get my degree and also be able to play football at the highest level possible.
