For 2017-2018, I'm going for the Post Graduate certificate at Cheshire Academy in Cheshire, CT, to improve both my academic and athletic prospects. This Fall, I started both sides of the ball with talented and inspired athletes and coaches for a great football season (8-1), was one of two Cheshire players named to "1st Team" All New England Preparatory Schools Athletic Conference. Coach David Dykeman is taking lead on my recruiting and can be reached at [email protected], or 203.439.7447. Cheshire Cats finished 8-1, and I continue to start both sides of the ball. (Linebacker (primary position), and OLine). 2017 Hightlight videos are all at maxpreps: http://www.maxpreps.com/athlete/zachary-spencer/L9S1yHFZEeeT-Oz0u-e-FA/videos.htm.
I graduated Weston High School June 2017, holding the record for career tackles at 422. I was two-time All-State Class M, and two-time team Captain as well as team MVP (Trojan Award) for two years. Playing at Cheshire next year on a larger stage is the opportunity I've been waiting for to show what I can do. The team talent is going to be great and I'm ready to compete and earn my spot.
Based on Fall SAT (new test 1310), Sat (old test), PSAT (new format) and ACT testing as a Junior, I am more than college ready and all of those scores are fairly high and consistent across the board. Weston High School is one of the highest rating in CT (ranked #1 in public schools on several lists!) and in the USA with stringent coursework and curriculum. It is super competitive. After a slow start, my full year 2015-2016 GPA was 3.26, and GPA for my senior year was 3.72. I think the trajectory is telling.
