I started playing football when I was 12, I played my first season last year at defensive end. Making the switch to quarter back in only my second year playing the game has not been easy. Nobody on my team, in my school, in my friend group or anything like that believes I have what it takes to become a D1 athlete. My only goal is to prove them wrong.
My dad keeps asking me "are you sure this is what you want?" "are you sure this is what you want to do?" It made me think a lot about it and helped grow my love for the game. I realized i have literally nothing to lose, only to gain. I attend Grasso Technical Highschool in the welding trade with a 3.7 overall GPA halfway through my freshman year, If college doesn't work out, I have something to fall back on. Realizing that made me want it even more.
Something about seeing my twin brother play football 2 years ago lit something inside of me telling me "I can make it to the NFL, I can make it to a D1 college" etc. so I'm ready to play and give my all for this sport. I hope the college coaches reading this are ready for my commitment no matter where it takes me.
I currently train with Jawaun Johnson, He played Receiver for Louisiana tech. He is now playing overseas in Mexico, but during the off season helping youth and high school Qb's and Wr's achieve their goals and i know its helping me out a lot.
I know I'm ready for whatever it takes, and where it takes me.
