My name is Christopher Ridling, I am currently a student at Model High School. My current activities include football, wrestling, soccer manager, and one of the youth leaders at my church. I have started in both football and wrestling all four years of high school. In football, I have played several positions on the offensive and defensive line, as well as long snapper. In football, as a team our biggest accomplishment is when we made it to the playoffs last for the first time since 2016, and are currently in the second round of state playoffs again this year. In wrestling, my weight class has been 285. Wrestling has been the most challenging sport that I participated. My first year wrestling, I only weighed 195 and wrestled 285. My sophomore year, only weighed 220 I placed 4th in region and made it to sectionals, but I did not have a full season due to injuries that caused me to have hip surgery. Being the soccer manager has had some the most character boosting in my life, because it has given me a great work ethic. My duties as soccer manager are setting up equipment for practice, helping with drills if needed, set up for games, tap film, and keeping score. I love being out there with my guys because they show how much they appreciate me for the stuff I do and it makes me happy that I’m making the jobs easier for the coaches and the players. At church, I am one of 7 youth leaders. We serve every Sunday and Wednesday. On Sunday, I teach the fourth and fifth grade students. On Wednesdays, I make sure that new youth attendees are not alone or left out. I would like to become a high school or college coach and receive a degree in education and minor in ministry, preferably child ministry. I look forward to hearing from you, and possibly playing football in college.
