Collin Portman '16 Recruiting Profile

 I am a 6ft 215lb defensive end at North Oldham High School. I know that sounds small for a defensive lineman but I feel that you can’t measure my desire to succeed and be the best player at whatever position I’m needed to play. I also wrestle for my school placing 4th in the state at 195lbs. with a record of 56-5 and newly pre-season ranked #1 in Kentucky's 220lb weight class heading into my senior year. I feel that wrestling has helped me with footwork, leverage and mental toughness, which bodes well for football also.  

  Playing sports is a privilege that I do not take for granted. I know that not many athletes get the opportunity to play at the next level and if given the chance I will continue giving my best efforts at improving and helping the team to succeed on and off the field. My goal is to continue my education and to grow not only as a player but as a person.
