Personal Statement
Hello, my name is Drew Burke and I play for Raceland High School in Eastern Kentucky right on the Ohio River. I play offensive center where I have become successful with many accolades and good team seasons. I have been playing football since I was a child, as a Ohio State fan I was born into football. During my sophomore year of high school I got sick with a genetic disorder called aHUS, this taught me what it was like to cherish life and to understand adversity. My first junior year my season was ended on a controversial call and a heartbreaking loss to the future state champions. I am a good student with a consistent 3.5 GPA and plan on being a head football coach as well as a teacher when I graduate. I know that playing collegiate football will help me complete my dreams of being a head coach and that going to college will give me the tools to succeed at teaching. When I have the time I do what I can to give back to my community as I know that I am blessed to have what I have in life. I want everybody to be as lucky as me one day. Thank you for taking the time to read about me and I hope to hear from you soon.
