Personal Statement
In my freshman year, my football team went 3-8. During the following off season, my team and coaches decided we were tired of losing and things needed to change in the program. As players, we dedicated our blood, sweat and tears in the weight room and on the practice field. Going into my sophomore year, as the starting middle linebacker, I decided to buy into the coach's concept of becoming a servant leader on and off the field. The following season we went 10-3 and won the school's first district championship in 15 years.
During this experience, I learned the value of leadership, commitment and teamwork. More importantly, I learned and lived what it means to be a servant leader. I am searching for a collegiate program that will enhance my skills on the field and in the classroom and give truth to the lessons I've learned thus far.. I firmly believe I possess the natural ability to make an impact on your program on and off the field.
