My father introduced me to football at a young age, and I loved it immediately. He coached little league football at my elementary school for many years, so I grew up watching him and the players practice and play games. I couldn't wait until I was old enough to be on that team! Once I started playing myself, I discovered that football wasn't just about learning plays and preparing for games; it was about teamwork.
Participating in sports has taught me so much. This game is not just about me; it's about me AND the other ten players on the field with me. I've learned the importance of always giving 100% and helping build up the players around me. When my team voted me captain this year, it was the highlight of my football career. It really helped me to see that hard work and dedication is noticed and breeds positive results in the people around you. I know that I can make a positive impact on any team that is willing to take a chance on me.
