My name is Will McMillan, a Senior at St. Thomas More Catholic High School in Lafayette, Louisiana. I consider myself a highly driven individual, and I feel that I put more effort into my sports than many. Many gifted athletes have a sense of entitlement that they carry around, and these guys often have poor work ethics and attitudes when it comes to accepting coaching. Many don't help teach underclassmen themselves and aren't the leaders that they could be. I don't think I have this problem. I've never considered myself that great of an athlete; I've had to put in more time than most for every ounce of skill and recognition I've earned. I try my best to lead my teammates in ways that will make them better players. I'm not a very vocal leader- I believe in leading by example- but I have gotten in people's faces if I don't like their effort or if I know that they are capable of more.
On the football field, I think my greatest assets are in my feet and my tenacity. I'm not the strongest person on the field, but I believe I make up for it in my willingness to put everything I have into a block while keeping a steady base. I've never been nervous before a competition because I grew up doing it. I have never been called for holding at this point in my highschool career, and I rarely lose my temper on the field.
I am willing to play for any college interested, and I'm not set on any region in particular. I will, however, major in biology with the goal of becoming a doctor or teacher. I currently have a 3.0 gpa and my highest ACT score is a 28.
