I have always been active in sports from a young age. Having two active parents, multiple aunts, and uncles who play at the highest athletic level-D1 have fueled my drive to compete and challenge myself to be better.
A big influence in my life is my parents, brothers, friends, and high school coaches. They have helped and guided me through challenges I have faced throughout my life and athletic career. The challenges, successes, and failures have shaped me into the person that I am today.
I have learned that I cannot always come first and that I must fail sometimes to improve myself. I have also learned that playing sports makes you many friends. Sports for me started out just for fun and remains a strong source of fun, but now has a competitive edge.
I have overcome many obstacles along the way including injuries, failures, struggles to discover who I am as an individual and team player, which has strengthened my drive, perseverance, and the opportunity to be a varsity student-athlete in multiple sports.
I have a high academic standard for myself and am challenged in balancing academics, three different sports and life on and off the field. I hope to graduate above the standard with a focus in STEM. I am undecided but am leaning towards pursuing an Engineering degree.
