Tyler Flathau '15 Recruiting Profile

Hi my name is Tyler Flathau, I am from Hattiesburg Mississippi and I am an aspiring kicker/punter in the class of 2015. My main goal is to get to the next level not only in football, but also in my education. I am no stranger to hard work. I have juggled playing football, select soccer, high school soccer, and running track while maintaining a 3.7 GPA (AP classes).  In my junior year, I was selected to the All-State First-Team as a punter with an average of 43.5 yards per punt and a hangtime within the range of 4.0 to 4.6.  Kick-offs are a strength of mine, due to the fact that I am hitting them 7-8 yards deep in the end-zone.  I can hit field-goals from 50+ range with great height and I kick off the ground. I am ranked 4.5 separately as both kicker and punter with Chris Sailer and a 5 star punter with Team Jackson Kicking. I am the captain of a two-time back to back State Championship High School soccer team, Co-President of Fellowship of Christian Athletes and on the school's Campus Ministry team. Christ has a huge impact on my life. I intend to use my abilities to attend a great university preparing me for a lifelong career in Biological Sciences.   I am a competitive, dedicated person with the drive to be the best and to help my team win on and off the field.
