Malik McGee '15 Recruiting Profile

Ever since I was five I dreamed of becoming a huge football star. It might’ve been all the kids in my neighborhoods dream of becoming a star in some sort of way; but for me it was more than just becoming a star. I fall in love with what it took to become that star. The hard work. The long hours in the weight room. The class room every bit of it. It was the WANT TO, that thing that just makes you take risk and be fearless. Football was it for me. On the field I felt as if I was unstoppable because I worked hard and I knew if I do my assignment and just empty my mind a focus on the NOW nothing can stop me.

I can give you a million and one reasons why a school should recruit me, but it all comes down to one thing. That WANT TO. Living in the now getting the job done and doing with everything you got inside of you. Leaving it all out on the field. But also in the classroom. I may not be the straight A+ student but I that doesn’t mean I can’t be. That being said I’m willing to work night and day to be a student athlete, and a person my teammates can depend on to give it their all no matter what. I feel I have it and anyone who’s willing to give me that chance won’t be sorry.
