My collegiate goals are to be a Exercise and Sports Medicine major. The reason why I choose this major is because my brother inspired me by going to college and graduated with his B.A. in Criminal Justice. I watched him study, go to work, and also keep up his physical training for his recruitment. He also inspired me by showing me how to MMA fight and train. To not give up during defeat but work hard and learn from mistakes.
What makes me a phenomenal candidate for their team is my passion for football and the coaches. I love facing the most hardest challenges. I love facing these challenges knowing knowing my coaches have trained and made me ready to face the challenges head on with a winning drive. When the 2021 season ended, and I received my first division 1 offer I was elated. As I traveled to the colleges that sent me invites, I was approached by many national high school coaches asking and offering me to transfer to their school with promises of free tuition. I could not accept any offers because when I was looking for a high school to attend and play competitive football I was turned away because I have an IEP. I scored low on the admission test. The only coach that believed in me and gave me a chance both in the classroom and on the field was Coach Sacco. Entering into my junior year, all the high schools that denied me are now offering me scholarships to transfer. I will continue to support the coach that believed in me and gave me a chance.
What makes me different from other recruits in my character, athletics and academics is that i work harder than everyone else and can't be out worked. My character plays a big roll in my life. I'm a humble beast on and off the field and appreciate everything that comes my way. Why, because me and my mom were homeless living in a domestic violence homeless shelter. She taught me during this struggle to work even harder so that we could rise out of the situation we were placed in. During those 3 months, my mom kept working, taking me to and from school, taking me to practice and training all while having to keep up safe in the shelter and looking for a new home for us. I love helping others and being their for them even at the worst times. I wished my mom had that help. How my athletics make's me different is that I train 7 days a week on and off the filed. I'm a very competitive towards everything. I use to do soccer, basketball and even swimming and my goal was not being anything lower then 1st place. With all the money my mom has put into to me I make every last penny count. My academics I love the most because with one "A" I earned boost my confidence to get more . Though I have an IEP and do not test well, I am capable of learning, retaining, and achieving academically.. Both on and off the field.
