Jacob Hein '18 Recruiting Profile

Hello to all the coaches that view my profile.  I am a 6'5" 305lb senior offensive tackle who plays for Rancocas Valley Regional High School in Mount Holly NJ.  During my freshman year I was a starter on defense, and a second string offensive tackle.  I am currently the starting left tackle for our varsity team, and working to improve my long snapping capabilities so I can contribute more to the team .  My collegiate goals are to play football for a school that maintains a winning tradition as well as a high academic standard while earning dual degrees in Psychology and Computer Science.  I was raised in a military family and am a member of the Naval JROTC at my high school.  These two things have taught me to value Honor, Integrity, and Discipline.  It has also shown me the value of teamwork.  I understand that it takes an entire team to win, not just one player, and I am very good at encouraging my teammates to push themselves just a little further.    I am willing to play any position the coach feels I can contribute to the team to help them win.  Even though I have had limited time playing football, I am a fast learner and willing to put in the extra time to learn as many positions as needed to help the team win.  Presently I am holding a 3.83 GPA and I have made the Honor Roll for three consecutive quarters.  Going forward I plan to take more Honors and AP courses in order to academically challenge myself and better prepare for college.
