Hey coach, my name is Todd Francis, a 2023 graduate. I am an athlete, but my main position is running back. I have played corner, receiver, gunner, punter, personal protector, place holder and returner. Anywhere my coach needed me, I played. I consider myself to be very coachable, a hard worker, and a team player.
During my senior year, I strained my right PCL the 5th game into the season. Prior to my injury I rushed for 400 plus yards with 4 TD’s. Playing hurt and no longer being the starting running back was a disappointment. I had to remind myself that setbacks are a part of life. My dad always said it builds character and teaches you how to overcome adversity. Although I played hurt the rest of the season, I managed to contribute by effectively blocking for our quarterback or the backup running back and running decoy routes alongside my fellow receivers. Despite it all, I enjoyed playing and being on the field in whatever capacity I could while contributing to my team’s overall performance.
I would like to attend a 4 year college and major in the sciences. My overall career goal is to become a veterinarian but will settle for dentistry or medicine.
