My goal has always been to be successful at everything I do.Anything I’ve ever wanted to do, whether it was football, another sport, a favorite subject in school, my job, or any other endeavor, I have worked hard to excel at. As a student, I have always done particularly well, especially at those subjects which I really enjoyed, or those that challenged me. In sports, I have always played above my age level; whether it was due to my size, ability, or determination to play a higher quality of opposition.
My dreams have always been big, but now they’re far more important. I can see myself in a Division I program, because I truly believe that I would be an asset to any offensive or defensive line. I also feel that I would be an asset to any football program, because I’m a hard worker, extremely coachable, a fast learner, and I’m an accomplished team player.
As a kid, I was never able to play football. The local league had weight limits which I’ve always exceeded. I went to a private Catholic School that did not have a football program. In fact, our gym was also our cafeteria, so athletics always took a back seat to academics. I didn’t play my first game until my sophomore year, but I worked hard enough to be on Varsity at the same time. I was named as starter for my junior and senior years. My freshamn year I was the water boy for one of the worst teams in our section, but my senior year I became the captain of the best football team my high school has ever seen. We won our schools first league championship since 1986, our first ever sectional championship, and we made it to our first ever regional championship game. I won 2nd team all-section honors, and I was selected to our Exceptional Senior all-star game. I've come a long way since my freshman year and I owe it all to my hardwork and determination. I strive to become the best at what I do and this has been shown in my 3 years of football.
