Personal Statement
My academic focus has allowed me to excel in both school and the field. My successes in academics have reinforced the need for focus and perseverance - both also crucial on the field. Football is more than a sport to me. Football is about being a part of a team where hard work, trust, and teamwork create comradery and lifelong bonds. These bonds carried me through two season-ending injuries in my sophomore and junior year. Ultimately my love for football and the atmosphere surrounding it was the driving force in helping me overcome these injuries, and eventually coming back to play my senior year. I want to continue my academic pursuit while taking football to the next level.
