Working hard is in my blood. I have been raised to always outwork and outhustle everyone else on the field, which has given me the opportunity to compete at the highest level in Oklahoma. Bixby's football program has had so much success over the last several years because the concept of work ethic is embedded in our culture as a team. Our high school coaches have instilled in us that the preparation we put forth in the weight room and offseason is what separates us from other programs. Our team's core values consist of:
Discipline - "Commit to the Process"
Integrity - "Count on Me"
Selfless - "Less Me More We"
Consistent - "The Right Way Everyday"
I am a member of the Crucible, which is our team's leadership council. Every year, the Crucible decides on our fifth team core value for that season. This last season was Intensity, which we tagged to mean "Fuel the Fire". All of these core values are important for us to meet our goals of being state champions both on and off the field and we have met those goals as a program and as student athletes.
From an academic standpoint, I have continued to build on my high school transcript by challenging myself to take several college courses over the last two years. By making an A in my AP Calculus class last semester, I have proven that I possess the ability to excel at the next level of my academic career. I took the ACT as a Freshman in high school and am looking forward to improving on my score this Spring.
When I commit to a program at the next level, I am committing to be the best teammate, role model and leader for that program. I can't wait to accept that challenge!
