Matthew Minnix '19 Recruiting Profile

I understand what is expected of a recruit and how he should be expected to be passionate about a program.

I grew up in the Tulsa area, playing football for Jenks High School at starting outside linebacker and also contributed on special teams. I have several family members that played on the college level. My uncle played at the University of Tennessee, my cousin played at Chadron State, my brother currently plays at Arkansas Tech University as starting center. I’m very aware of the hard work and dedication it takes to stay focused and succeed, representing the school as a college athlete.

As a potential college athlete, I understand that the opportunity of representing a college program would be a part of something bigger than myself.  I understand what it takes and what is expected of a leader- motivating others who are weak through adversity when it's strong.
