Jacob Overton '14 Recruiting Profile

I am a Senior at Minco High School in Minco Oklahoma. I've started every game of my high school career, and I'm also a three sport athlete. I can play any position you need me to play. I have mainly played receiver in my tenure at Minco, but this year I am getting an average of 30 carries a game at the running back position. I have, and also, play quarterback, kick returner, punt returner, free saftey, and cornerback. I will do my best wherever I am placed, and I will willingly play wherever I need to play in order for my team to succeed. I didn't know that I would be playing running back this year, but I absolutely love it! I love the game of football and want to continue to play in college. I have the drive, determination, and skill to play college football and I pray that I get the chance too. I also want to say that I am a very dedicated Christian. God deserves all glory for everything that happens in my life and I give Him all praise for everything that I can do on the football field. I am also using football as a mission field to reach my teammates and my school for Jesus. I want everyone to realize their purpose for living is for Jesus and they they never truly live unless it is for Him. It may seem inappropriate to some for me to have added that, but my faith is a part of who I am and you need to know that. Thank you for considering me for your program,
