My name is Jonathan Rowe. I'm a Senior Linebacker who has been playing football for 13 years. I have a true passion for this sport. As such, I've learned to keep a level head during tense situations on the field. I know how to move on to the next play and stay focused. I believe this is one of my best attributes that has been instilled in me by my coaches over the years. I don't have confrontations with other players outside of the whistles. I show respect, even when the opponent does not. There have also been many times when I've had to calm my teammates emotions down, so they don't cost us 15 yards. I do my best to keep my head in the game, with the goal to win! I echo that mindset to my teammates. Furthermore, something I have become known for is always pursuing the football, no matter how far away it is, and always being involved in the play. I also play very cleanly compared to other defensive box players, as I only seek to tackle the ball carrier. I try not to waste too much time with the offensive linemen.
Academically, I am very serious about my education. I have made sure to maintain a 4.0+ GPA throughout high school. One of my most proud moments was induction into National Honor Society. My parents are my greatest influence towards encouraging and guiding my academia and athletic goals. I recognize that in the term "student athlete," "student" comes first. In college, I intend to pursue a Fire Protection and Safety Engineer Degree. There is a well-known saying which quotes “It takes A Village To Rear Successful Children“. I am fortunate to have a wonderful, educated, and knowledgeable village! I have excellent relationships with my parents, teachers, coaches, and peers. Because they took the time to be role models, I can follow their blueprint. I am well respected, have exemplary vocal and analytical skills, and am loved student, with high personal expectations. My personal motto is “The Sky Is The Limit!” on and off the football field.
