My name is Brody Young and I am a 17 year old senior at Sequoyah High School. I am a five sport Varsity athlete that takes care of business in the classroom as well with a 3.84 GPA along with being a member of National Honor Society, FCA, and holding down a part time job to help my family. Athletics have been part of my life since I was a five year old kid running 5ks with my mom or playing little league baseball and basketball. My high school career started with adversity with my school choosing to opt out of competitive athletics my freshman year due to the Covid pandemic. Instead of abandoning my school I stuck it out and learned to be part of a rebuilding process bigger than me. My coaches look to me to be a leader. I am the hardest worker on the field, court, practice. My junior year and part of my senior year our quarterback went out due to injury and I was moved to the QB slot to fill a need. Without a thought to how that would affect my receiving stats I did a job and did what my coaches and team needed and that is what I bring to a team. TEAMWORK. I have a high ceiling that I have yet to reach and have a ton of growth still ahead of me and if a coach would take a chance on a 17 year old from Tahlequah, Oklahoma I bring leadership, dedication, and loyalty to your program.
