Hello coaches. My name is Brady Rutkoski and I play Defensive Back and Wide Receiver for the Pennsylvania state ranked Scranton Prep Cavaliers Varsity football team (class of 2024).
Football is in my blood. My father was an all star running back at Scranton Central High School in the late 1980’s. My brothers play football. Since I was born I watch the Pittsburgh Steelers and Penn State Nittany Lions. I am willing to work as hard as possible to get the opportunity to play football like the players I watch on television every weekend. It is my dream.
During the off season I spent nearly every day in the weight room. From Freshman to Sophomore year I put on 40 pounds and increased my bench press and squat by 100 pounds. I study my playbook and film constantly, with the desire to get on the field and help my team on Friday nights. I will continue this work ethic throughout my high school years. I have high hopes about getting bigger, stronger and smarter. There is no ceiling. Working hard is all I know.
My teammates and coaches at Scranton Prep push me and encourage me to be the best athlete, student and teammate I can possibly be. I want to do all I can so I don’t let them down.
When I was younger, I won District Little League baseball championships and various recreational basketball championships. I also presently play basketball for Scranton Prep. I am an honor roll student at Scranton Prep, which is a very academically competitive school. I understand what is needed to succeed and I am committed to being the best at everything I do.
I believe my background and athletic and academic experiences can be an asset to a college football program. My family is blue collar from South Scranton PA. We are proud of our hard work.
I am excited to prove that I am a great football player, student and person to college coaches who will take a chance on me. I am confident I will prove them right.
Thank you for your time.
