Landon Pitcher '15 Recruiting Profile

I am a 6'4, 210 pound linebacker/tight end/punter from the Westview Chargers high school football team in Martin, TN. I am a 3 year varsity starter and will be a 2015 graduate. I entered my senior season as a preseason all state selection at the linebacker position. I led my team in tackles the past two seasons, while also leading west Tennessee in tackles last year and one of the top tacklers this season.  I also play several positions on the offensive side of the ball sharing time at tight end and running back while serving as back up quarterback. I am also our team's punter and kicker where I was one of the top punters in west Tennessee with 35 punts averaging 40 yards. I have been recognized for my accomplishments being named Defensive MVP of the West Tennessee All-Star game, Weakley County Prep Player of the Year, selected to the all-state team at linebacker in addition to all district, region and area. I was also awarded with the West Tennessee Football Officials Scholarship for my leadership on and off the field. I feel my versatility combined with determination, hard work, and a strong football IQ, makes me a valuable asset at the college level. I strive to be a leader on and off the field and am willing o do whatever it takes to support my team. The past two seasons I used my talents to help lead our team to the post season. I look forward to continuing this successful trend playing the game I love at the college level.  

In addition to my on the field abilities, I am also an excellent student. I hold a 3.9 GPA and have scored 24 on my ACT to date. I am also actively involved in our church attending mission trips and youth events. I work hard to be a good role model for all ages and strive to have a positive influence on those around me.
