Personal Statement
I was born with a passion for football. I begged for my first football uniform at 3 years old and it could not include a plastic helmet, it had to be the kind the "real players wear." My mom had to hold me off from playing little league until I was 7. My neighbors still talk about watching me play "One on None" in the yard for years growing up. ("One on None," is a name my parents gave my hours of playing football by myself on the lawn as the offense, defense and announcer.) When I play football I get a feeling inside of me that is hard to describe. I feel the greatest joy on that field. In all my years of playing little league and other levels of sports, my coaches have always said I have extraordinary athletic ability. I was given natural gifts in athleticism. I feel I am a very versatile player with abilities that could play any position.
With my gifts and my passion I am a player that can make great things happen for any team. I am a hard worker and give 100% to learning and following directions, listening to coaches and giving my all in all that I am asked to do. I am a team player, a quiet leader and recognize that I can do nothing without a team of dedicated, hard working members. I value honesty and doing what I say I will do and have the highest expectations for myself. I have high moral standards and am a positive person who tries to see the good in everyone.
My goals for high school are to get good grades, and win a state championship in football and basketball. I know this will take great effort and sacrifice on my part. It would be a dream to play at the college level in a program that I could continue to develop as an athlete and I will do everything I can to accomplish that goal. I have a this quote hanging in my room; "Champions are made from something they have deep inside them- a desire, a dream and a vision." I know I have that inside of me!
