Since my first day of football practice, I knew I had a special bond with the game. I always enjoyed throwing the leading block that allows my running back spring downfield. Since the very beginning, I have strived to push myself and my teammates on and off the field to become better athletes and equally good citizens in our community.
I am always working to improve my offensive line skills as I know I have much to learn as a first-year starter. When you can't find me on the field or in the classroom, you can find me in the weight room training to get bigger, faster, and stronger.
I am also on the Varsity Basketball in the winter and compete on the Varsity Rowing team in the spring. Last season, I was named JV Basketball MVP for my outstanding leadership on and off the court, which ultimately earned me a spot on the starting line up on the Varsity team.
What makes me a great candidate for your team and university is that I am coachable, a fast learner, and I never quit or complain. I actively listen to my coaches and I correct myself without being told because in the long run I know I will become a better football player because of it. Whether at school or on the field, I give 110% and this is seen by my GPA and role on the team.
I want to attend a top tier academic university where I can contribute to a competitive winning team and pursue a degree in business. Currently, I play left tackle in our offensive scheme but can play anywhere on the offensive line as well as a tight end.
