Renzo Mercado '23 Recruiting Profile

As an athlete and human, I strive to be great in everything I do, whether I’m at the field, weight room or classroom. Greatness is my goal.  I aspire to win,  I have a “begin with the end in mind” attitude and the end is to win. I’ve played football since I was 8 and it has been a huge part of my life since. I don’t see that changing after high school.  The only time I've been away from football was during my 8th and 9th grade years when I moved to Africa because of my parents assignment with the U.S. State Department. But, I still did football drills and played other sports like basketball and track and field. 

When I moved back to VA for my sophomore year, I played for a baseball travel team in the fall and played for my high school team in the spring as well.
