There are three things that I focus on in life - God, school, and football. I now make it a priority to make sure that I spend time with each of these three subjects everyday. Ever since the first time I touched a football, I have loved the game. I have played for many years now. One of my many accomplishments was winning a championship with one of my football teams in which I scored two of the four touchdowns and was the leading tackler. Now, I work for my future. One of my goals is to one day play collegiate football. My academics have never been a problem and my leadership skills are evident through my many accomplishments. Last year, I was chosen to be the representative of my school at a leadership seminar at James Madison University as a student; not a football player. For that event, only two students were chosen out of a 2015 class of just under 600 students, and I was blessed to be chosen. On the football side, I started the 2012 campaign as JV captain and varsity back-up. By mid-season, I was promoted to starter at the varsity level while I was still 14 years old after having a breakout game against one of our biggest rivals. After the season, my coach chose me as one of the leaders of the team to represent our school at an FCA football camp. This year I was a starter on defense, but was limited in play and my season was cut short due to a torn labrum in my shoulder. I know that becoming a collegiate athlete requires much work in and out of the classroom. I am willing to work above and beyond to become the best athlete that I can be. My motto, "Pretty good isn't good enough," motivates me to work harder than I did the day before. Even though I am a year younger than nearly all of my 2015 classmates, I still work to be the best player and leader on and off the field. By staying focused on the 3 B's (Brain - Body - Bible), I know that I will be a difference-maker in any college football program.
