I am a 6'1 kicker from Leesburg, VA. I have been the starting kicker since my sophomore year on the Loudoun County High School varsity team. I have a 3.6 GPA and I have just recently taken the ACT and SAT and will continue to take them.
My goal is to find a college to grow as an athlete and just as importantly as a student and a person. I strive every day to not only excel at my craft but encourage others to work on theirs. I not only want to win games but I want to contribute to a team in as many ways as possible.
Even though everyone has the stereotype that kickers don't practice or train hard, I feel that the way I train is a big part of the way I perform. I have realized through my time playing soccer and kicking/punting it is more about mental toughness then the physical toughness. I don't train until I get it right, I train until I don't get it wrong.
I am looking for a strong academic school as well as a strong football program. I am leaning towards a degree in sports medicine. Location isn't the key factor; just the opportunity to contribute to a football team.
