Lucas Love '25 Recruiting Profile

My name is Lucas Love.  I am a junior at Tuscarora High School. Our school this year was 10-0 in our District. We are currently preparing for playoffs. As part of this season, I have earned District Defense 1st Team as a DL and District Defensive Player of the Year. I am very honored to have earned these awards. My goal is to improve on this and shoot for regional/state recognition and to earn these awards again next year. In years past, I have played both sides of the line but, this year I played defense in every game and special teams. Next year, I will probably spend more time rotating between the two lines and will work in the off-season to continue improving both my defensive and offensive skills.

 I believe I am a solid recruit for any team. I believe my coaches would all attest to my work ethic, ability to learn quickly and dedication to doing my best as well as helping to mentor younger or more inexperienced players. I have a strong love for the game and my team. I am constantly looking at ways to improve my skills and knowledge of the game to make myself a better player for my coach and team. I also believe that I am a very versatile player and can fill in extremely well for most positions.

I did play basketball for my high school team as a starter in the past years. However, I have decided to focus solely on football as I know this is the sport I want to play in college. I also did years of TKD and learned a lot of great traits such as never giving up, respect, teaching others, and listening while I went through my years to be a second-degree black belt. I also volunteer when I can such as helping with basketball camps or other needs for the school to give back and contribute to both my team, the school, and the kids. I am working hard in my classes and currently have a GPA above 3.5 and will continue to work hard to keep my grades up so that I can show both my character on and off the field.
