We all have goals and aspirations and we all want to play football. I've been playing football since 1st grade, that's a lot of first downs and tackles, wins and losses. And I've had lots of coaches that each taught me something about the game and myself. As a student athlete, academics have always come first since the day the school put me in advance classes in 3rd grade. I've had my share of successes and failures both in the classroom and on the field. 2020 has thrown the biggest challenge in my goals both academically and athletically due to the COVID health crisis. But it hasn't taken away my drive to be a better player when I hit that turf under the big lights again. NCAA waived SAT, colleges and universities are waiving SAT but I'm still taking mine because I worked hard for my education and my SAT scores are the culmination of that hard work. My junior year I had over 60 tackles, 11 tackles for loss and 6 sacks in 10 games. Summer camps were cancelled, combines cancelled, campus tours cancelled, football season postponed and no guarantee we will play in the Spring but that doesn't stop me. I attend my teams strength/conditioning and practice, and I get up early before classes to to meet my training coach and then I take a full load of AP classes remotely when I only need two to graduate and then it's practice. I'm someone who will give everything they have, never take the shortcut (unless I'm going through the pocket), stay energized and explosive on the field, keep my team mates motivated and work hard to give my highest potential to myself, my coaches and my team.
