Terry Anaruk '24 Recruiting Profile

One of my biggest goals is to be successful in basketball and in college. I want to be one of the first Alaskans to make it to at least Division 1 basketball, or even Division 2 because not many people from here make it. My top priority for college is to make my parents proud by trying my best and giving it my all to get where I want to be.

I pushed others to try their best at practice, on the court, and in school. It didn't matter how good they were doing. I'd say there's always room for improvement. I was telling my teammates these things because I wanted us to do good as a team. I was the captain for the team. But even if I wasn't the captain, I would still tell my teammates to try their best since I like seeing others succeed in whatever they do. I think that is what makes me a good candidate. 

In athletics, I try to be better than others. In academics, grades and attendance are most important to me. I try to be at class all the time to learn enough to get my diploma or degree. Grades lead me to college to get even more educated. As a character, I am quiet most of the time. But I am more talkative around people I have a close relationship with.
