Competing in sports is something that I’ve been doing at a young age. Regarding this, the sport that I fell in love with the most is basketball. Basketball is something I use to take my mind off things and keeps me stable in life. Whenever I’m feeling down or stressed out, I just want to hoop my problems away. When I step onto a court, I feel that I can be free, and nothing else around me matters; all I want to do is put the ball in the hoop. I love the feeling and rollercoaster of nerves I get right before a game because there’s nothing like it. As soon as the game starts and the ball is tipped off, all of my nervousness and jitters vanish. Being able to compete in basketball at the next level is a goal that I wish to accomplish in my life. I know all my hard work, dedication, and willingness will pay off and I am more than ready to rise to the challenge, I am confident that I can persevere through thick and thin to achieve my goals of earning a degree while playing college basketball.
