I’ve been in sports my entire life and they’ve played a huge role in developing not only my athletic abilities but my character as well. Living in a small town (less than 500 people) It’s common for athletes to play multiple sports including basketball, baseball, football, track, & wrestling in a single season, and I am no exception.
It has always been my dream to play professional sports, specifically basketball. I’ve grown up watching the greats hone their skills on the court, and it's my goal to play basketball while obtaining my college degree. Long term, I would love to help kids by creating programs and camps for young athletes to get a head start on developing their skills and fundamentals for the game.
I believe I would make an excellent asset to any college basketball team because I am hard working and put in the effort to meet my personal goals as well as the team’s goals. I ‘ve always been a team player and I’m self-driven to work hard. I get just as much joy out of making a great pass to assist a teammate; as I do making my own bucket. Living in a small town means low numbers in sports some years. Add injuries to the equation and I’ve learned to be very versatile and flexible with every sport and where I'm needed. No job or position is out of the question for me.
I am 100% academically focused. I understand that bad grades lead to ineligibility and letting your team down; and great grades can open doors and lead to better opportunities. I constantly strive to improve my grades to maintain the high standard and goals I’ve set for myself. I look forward to talking with college coaches and finding the right fit for my future goals.
