From the age of 10, it has been my dream to attend Georgetown University. Since this time, I have opened up my mind to other possibilities, however, remain focused on an academically challenging university where my skills will be fostered and opportunities exist. My interest is primarily in the legal field. Recently, after taking a career path quiz, I have started to explore a career in finance and more specifically wealth management and or tax attorney
In addition to being a strong basketball player, I am an avid sailor and would like a school that offers both options
Basketball became a quick passion for me. In sixth grade, I started to play competitively on my town travel team. The following year, I did not make the team. This was a pivotal experience in my basketball career. Knowing I started to play later than my peers, I knew I had to work even harder. Thankfully, my parents and grandparents supported my efforts and I have consistently worked with a shooting coach and a strength and conditioning trainer since this time. My progress has been exceptional. It is through my own hard work and dedication that I am a member of the Varsity team at my school. My parents would describe me as determined. I knew right away I loved basketball and belonged on the court. Along the way, some have told me I would not be able to compete at a high level. For myself, I continued to work and have proved them all wrong. In the upcoming Spring, I will be playing with Team Sims on their 10th grade National team competing in the Grassroots tour. It is not in my nature to give up or let up on the amount of time and effort I put in to my academics or my basketball growth. It is my goal to play on the highest level at my High School and to play in college.
In addition to my individual training, I am coachable. It is my mindset that my coach is my teacher of the game. I am an excellent teammate and support my teammates growth as well both on and off the court. Playing as a team, is the only way to win games. Encouraging my teammates is the best way to earn respect.
