I am a UK basketball player, based in Oxford. I am currently in year 11 at The Cherwell School, and studying towards my GCSE exams in Summer 2026. I am predicted grades A* - B+ in all of my subjects; and I am strongly focused on balancing my educational and sporting commitments as a student/athlete.
I am currently exploring all of my options as a student/athlete, and my main goal is to play college basketball in the US for my undergraduate degree, after completing my A-Levels. I am also exploring UK-based basketball academies and universities and have received interest from several of them already, but I think that I would like to focus on my primary goal of playing NCAA college basketball, ideally with a full athletic scholarship.
I currently play for the Oxford Hoops Basketball Club as a senior U16 National League player, where I a leading the team in scoring, assists, free throw and 3-point %, and I am also playing for the club's Men's D1 team which exposes me to playing with ex-pro's and college players; as well as bigger and stronger opponents, which is a fantastic and valuable learning experience!
I get up before school everyday and take care of my stretching and mobility routine, then I head to the local outside court (it's all I have available to me in rainy England!) for form shooting, my shooting routines, ball handling and other skills development. I train 3x per week with my U16 NBL team, 1-2x per week with the Men's D1 team and 2x per week with my school team where I play for year 11 and the year 12 and 13 teams.
I take good care of my body, lift 3x per week with my S&C sessions and I take my nutrition seriously. I have been lifting for about 18 months, and I eat healthily and use Creatine and Protein as part of my nutrition plan. I am also incredibly regimented when it comes to prioritizing my sleep, and my pre-practice and pre-game routines are also important to me.
I feel that I am a well-rounded student/athlete with the right attitude and aptitude to succeed in the world of college sports, both in the classroom and on the court. I am already in the routine of managing my time, prioritising my studies and basketball commitments, and incredibly coachable; with a hunger to learn and grow. I believe that I am worth an opportunity to play college basketball and I just need that opportunity to present itself and I will grab it with both hands, and the school and coaching team that offers it to me; will never question my commitment, work ethic and tireless pursuit to getting 1% better every day.
