Hugo Mattsson '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Hugo Mattsson.

I am in the class of 2023, I am from Sweden and I have played basketball since I was 12. In Sweden I have played for the Club Södertälje BasketbollKlubb (SBBK) my entire career because There are no high school teams, only club teams and it has been a great fit for me. 

During 2018 to 2020 I lived in the US and played for the AAU team Illinois Attack and  Neuqua Valley high school's freshman team. Unfortunately I moved back to Sweden before the start of the Sophomore season.  When I first came to the US I wasn't very good compared to the level of the competition and played for one of the lower level teams at Illinois Attack but with the help of Scott Olsen I worked my way up and improved tremendously. The least part of time in the US I played for one of the best teams at Illinois Attack.

I consider myself a  hard worker not only in Basketball but academically too. That's the  reason
