Christian James '14 Recruiting Profile

I would like to take the opportunity to introduce myself.  My name is Christian James. I am a 21 years old young man from Frederick, MD. I have the personality, determination, and integrity that will add value to any basketball program.  I am a combo guard standing at 6'5 200 Lbs My athleticism allows the opportunity for me to play various positions. I am unique and typically play the role of a Point Guard & Shooting guard my game is similar to Deangelo Russell. When called upon by my coach, I step up and play whatever role is needed to help by teammates win. I have played the game of basketball since the age of 11. Playing with AAU and county organizations has allowed me the opportunity to meet all types of players and coaches who I believe have influenced my skills as a player both on and off the court. Currently, I play basketball for JUCO Allegany College of MD I am a sophmore, Class of 2017. As a junior at Frederick high school, I led my team in scoring during the 2012-2013 season and as a senior 2013-2014. I am a hard worker with good work ethics, who is looking to improve my basketball game every day. I have no excuses for my grades during my younger grades, but I have grown as a student in the last year. I work hard in the class room and have earned honor roll in my last two terms. Since I first touched a basketball at the age of six, I knew basketball would play some part in the rest of my life. My basketball statistics outweigh my academic achievements at this time, but by the end of my basketball high school career both my academic and basketball statistics will closely match. Currently, I have a SAT score of 1190, which I have attempted once.  My plans are to re-take the SAT's in the spring along with the ACT.  I'm searching for a college that can help me be a student-athlete, and prepare me for life after basketball. I would love to talk to any university/college basketball coach where my qualities fits your needs and provides hope for my dreams.
