Sandra Cisneros '22 Recruiting Profile

Hello to anyone that is reading this! My name is Sandra Cisneros and I’m currently a senior at Frederick High School. I've been playing soccer since I was 7 years old. I joined Golden Mile which is a free program that FC Frederick has. I then got invited to play club when I was 9. I played for FC Frederick for 5 years. After those 5 years, I stopped playing because of high school soccer and made the varsity team as a freshman. With the COVID-19 Pandemic, I returned to playing club soccer in case I did not get a junior season. I know that any college opportunity for women's soccer is a once in a lifetime opportunity that could really change my whole life. 

My first position was playing striker. A year later, I started playing right or left defense. One day, I was asked to play center defense and I quickly liked it. I just really liked having that leadership of the back line. So my main position now is center defense but I do sometimes play defensive/mid-field. I have strong legs and work pretty well with my non-dominant foot, my left foot, but am very excellent with my right foot. I have good skills and am very coachable. I am very hard working in every practice which leads to me having good games. In club soccer, I get a lot of playing time as well as in high school soccer. I have always been a part of the starting 11 on the field, both in club and in high school. I work very well with my teammates as I was named captain of the varsity team my junior and senior year. I am very honored to have this title by my name.

In school, I work very hard when it comes to my classes. Maintaining my 4.2 GPA and studying very much. Taking classes in school and online classes at home. I try taking as many college level classes as I can like Advance Placement and Dual Enrollment. I am good at working with other people as a team when it comes to group projects and easy to communicate with. I also tutor multiple students at my school in either math, history, or spanish.

I am open to attending any division school and am open to all options. I am interested in playing for a school where I can get the most financial help as I can. I want to major in business and be on the women's soccer team. I know that any offer/opportunity is a blessing and will forever be grateful for. I want to find a school where I can continue playing the sport that I absolutely love and continue my academics. I hope to make my parents, whole family, friends, coaches, and teachers extremely proud!
