Malcolm Thomas '12 Recruiting Profile

I am a 6'-1", 185 lbs, young senior point/shooting guard from the Garden State of New Jersey. I have maintained a starting position on both my AAU and High School Basketball Teams for the last 3 years. I assisted my team in winning our high school Division State Championships in my sophomore and senior years. As the  point guard on a  strong Division I  AAU team, we won division championships and qualified each year for the Nationals. During my last high school season I averaged 14 pts, 2 rebounds , 3 steals and shot 85% from the field.  I maintained a 2.93 GPA in my senior year, and I am working diligently to increase my GPA with a goal of 3.5 as a minimum. I will take the SAT's again to improve my scores from 1580 to a minimum of 1600.  Since I am a young Senior, I have elected to attend the Winchendon School in Massachusetts in the fall as a Post Grad student so that I can take advantage of the opportunities this offers both academically, by increasing my GPA,and athletically, by sharpening my basketball skills. I am looking for a college where I can obtain a Law Degree, specializing in Political Science or International Studies. Although I live on the East Coast I am open to exploring schools elsewhere. Ideally, my athletic environment would be one where I could make an immediate contribution to the team. However, it is also important to me that I am able to obtain assistance in continuing to excel academically
