Personal Statement

Ever since I can remember I’ve been most comfortable when competing and being part of a team in some sort of athletics. If I’m on a field, part of a team, I’m in my zone.

My first love was baseball, I loved the challenge of playing against older boys, it motivated me and was awesome that a girl was always the first pick in the draft and the player everyone wanted on their team.

As I transitioned to tournament softball, I realized I had found my home.

I am a very coachable player who always puts their team first, I’ve been blessed to have great instruction and teammates.  In the last three years, I’ve been able to become a core player on both my travel and high school teams as a “go-to pitcher” and   “middle of the order bat”.  I pitched over 100 innings, had a 2.61 ERA and .441 BA. for my tournament team and was awarded the starting SS job as a Freshman and batted .350 for my high school team.

This offseason I’ve dedicated myself to do everything possible to improve chances of taking things to the next level including a 20-week training program at Planet Fastpitch www.planetfastpitch.com , hitting and pitching with my travel team and attending tutoring to improve my 3.00 GPA. I plan to stay committed and work hard with a smile on my face so that I can play at the highest level of competition possible and achieve my dream of playing in college.
