You might think that winning our County Tournament as a sophomore after 15 years in our school’s history would be the highlight of my varsity career. Or even better, becoming conference champions after 31 years and having a 26 - 4 record that same year. Each of those achievements were amazing but the greatest one was learning that it was all possible because we believed we could push the boundaries and go further. That was unforgettable. Basketball has been a huge part of my life since I was young and it was in middle school when I decided I wanted to pursue a basketball career and play at the collegiate level.
With that goal, I have diligently worked over the years to improve all aspects of my game. That work ethic has helped me achieve many things: 1) strong ball handling skills and a scoring mentality on the court; 2) the ability to score on all three levels and use my athleticism to my team’s advantage; 3) a high basketball IQ which I apply to lead my team throughout the game; and 4) coachability and a team player attitude. Off the court I challenge myself in school with a rigorous curriculum and maintain a high GPA. Additionally, I volunteer at my high school to help young kids and special needs kids learn the game through clinics and camps. I also work during my winter school season on weekends with the church basketball youth group that I participated in as a young player. I want to continue to grow. I want to attend a college or university where I will be challenged as a student-athlete as I would like to pursue a career in business. My goal is to be able to make an immediate impact and be a strong contributor on your team and to my school and community!
