Personal Statement
I have plans to attend college and purse business management. I’ve learned through my parents that with hard work and dedication I'll be able to accomplish my goals as long as I keep my eyes on the prize of success.
I’m currently a senior and play varsity point guard at Elmwood Park Memorial High school in New Jersey; The best thing I love about myself and my game is that I'm willing to take any challenge that comes my way, even if it means guarding their best player; I'm on task and will work hard on defense to prevent him to score. For many, height may be a challenge, however, it’s the contrary in my perspective because I use it as an advantage. I don’t allow it to faze me because I know I will outwork and push myself to the limits. Another important key detail in my game is I am a pass first guard.
As a captain of the team I enjoy involving my teammates in the game; seeing them happy while competing brings joy and satisfaction. Scoring for me can come whenever the coach likes, explosive guard with quick instincts that can do a variety of moves to score.
Overall, I consider myself a hard worker, teachable and eager to perfect my skills set in becoming a better basketball player; I am willing to continue to work hard to demonstrate to any coach that I have what it takes; I love and respect the game.
