Arris Wood '24 Recruiting Profile

It has been a long time dream of mine to play basketball at the collegiate level. Basketball to me is not just a sport, but an escape from reality.  I am incredibly family oriented, my family has always been incredibly supportive of my aspirations in the sport. My older uncles taught me about the game from as soon as I could walk, fostering my commitment and love to playing a team sport. I am able to work with people well and I can adapt to new situations with ease. I will never back down from a challenge because I see it as an opportunity to grow and learn something new. I always have and always will put 110% effort into basketball because of how much I love the sport and the many lessons I have gotten in not only athletics, but character as well. 

What I believe makes me different is my diversity on the court. Between AAU and high school basketball, I have played all 5 positions on the court at a point. Although I enjoy point guard most and it is where I feel most comfortable, my versatility is one of my best assets.
