Personal Statement
Basketball is the love of my life. I train and work out everyday and compete to my best ability. I have two main focuses in my life, my grades and my basketball future. In my junior year, I have held a 4.1 GPA. My goal is to play basketball at the college level and beyond and am determined to put hours into basketball each and everyday to achieve those goals.
As a player, I am very loud and like to keep my teammates engaged whether I'm on the floor or on the bench. I like to set the tone of the game by communicating and talking on the defensive end. My favorite part of the game is defense and I love when I can get a big stop.
On the offensive end of the floor, I am a consistent long range shooter that can work from the inside-out or outside-in. I have a scorers mentality but also am unselfish and can handle the ball. My main goal when I don't have the ball is to constantly keep cutting, moving and setting off-ball screens to keep the offense from getting stagnant. I am crafty around the rim and can finish well. I also like pushing the ball in transition and running with my teammates. I play JV basketball at Roselle Catholic High School which was ranked as high as #9 nationally (usatoday.com). I also practice and train with the Varsity team. Playing with a high-profile high school program has prepared me for college level competition and speed.
Also, I’m apart of the Harlem All-Stars AAU program which plays both in the Dyckman Summer League and Rucker Park Summer League, which are two of the top summer leagues in the country and are the most premier in New York.
I truly thank any college coaching staff member taking the time out of their day to look at my profile and read this.
